Thought For The Week:

"Compete with yourself and cheer on everybody else."

Optimism:
The first step in taking responsibility for a better future is believing that it can happen. As Helen Keller wrote in Optimism,
“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement; nothing can be done without hope.”
I’m not advocating rainbows and naïveté. Resilient people don’t downplay reality or try to sugarcoat the truth. They face challenges head on while remaining resolute in their ability to overcome them.
The naïve optimist says, “I can’t fail” and then falls apart when they do.
The pessimist says, “I may fail, so I won’t try.”
The resilient optimist says, “I may fail, but here’s how I’ll move through it stronger if I do.”
