Whole School Movie Production

PRODUCTION MOVIE

It is with great excitement that I can announce the filming of our School Production will take place on Friday 12 November at St John’s, using our beautiful new playground and spaces, weather and easing of COVID restrictions permitting! Online classes this week have a renewed sense of excitement as we now have a deadline to adhere to so we are polishing dances, learning any speaking lines and becoming the characters.

We can’t wait to see the students back at school so we can work together to finish this.

Please continue to encourage your child to look over and practice the dance videos (they can be found on the Home Learning Site for Prep and Juniors and in Google Classroom for Year 3/4 and 5/6 students).  We will be expecting them to know their dances by the time they return to school as it has been a main part of my online classes throughut Term 3.

Could we please ask that any student who has not yet sent in their base costume to the school, please organise to do so when they return to school. We understand that it is very tricky to organise costumes when the shops are shut, but could I suggest doing a click and collect order for Kmart, Target or Big W and that way you don’t need to rely on postage. The base costume suggestions are included below in case you have forgotten. Please let us know if you are having trouble sourcing these items.

BASE COSTUMES:

PREP   CLOWNS                    bright mismatched colours on long sleeved tops or tee shirts                                                         and  leggings. If students have long colourful socks and bright                                                       runners for  footwear.

1/2  ELEPHANTS                   black tee shirt and black pants/leggings

1/2  LIONS                               yellow or orange tee shirt and black pants/leggings

1/2  MONKEYS                       black tee shirt and black pants/leggings

1/2  HORSES                           black tee shirt and black pants/leggings

ALL 1/2s                                   a plain coloured tee shirt (blue, red, green, yellow, pink,                                                                    purple, etc)  colourful or stripey socks

3/4 TJ RIBBONS                      white tee shirt and white pants/ leggings

3/4 TJ STRONG PEOPLE      black tee shirt and black pants/leggings

3/4 KC SILKS                            black tee shirt and black pants/leggings

5/6AB                                          black tee shirt and black pants/leggings

5/6EP                                          not needed, full costume provided

Shoes for everyone will be either black shoes or black runners.
