The Girton Community Action Group and the Year 9 Ignite team are calling for donations of blankets for the BLANKET BENDIGO initiative run by the radio station Triple M. 

Cogho, Mandy and the team at Triple MMM are aiming to cover the Queen Elizabeth Oval (QEO) in Bendigo with blankets on Friday 29tMay. These blankets will then be donated to local charity groups to assist people experiencing homelessness in our region.

 

What can I donate?

  • New blankets (woollen, polyester, cotton etc)
  • Used blankets in good condition
  • Doonas
  • Coverlets

Where can I donate?

There will be a collection box at the Naunton Family Building Reception until Thursday 18th May. We will then deliver all of the collected blankets to the QEO on the morning of the Blanket Bendigo event.

GCAG – Harmony Week Photography Competition Winners

 

In Week 8 of last term, GCAG ran a photography competition for Harmony Week. The theme was “Everyone Belongs” and students were asked to enter original photographs that relate to this theme. We are very pleased to announce the winners:

 

From the Senior School we have Siún O’Malley from 7 Jones.

 

From the Junior School we have Bella Canobie of 6 Jones.

 

Students will be presented with their prize at Monday's Principal's Assembly. We would like to thank everyone for entering the competition and supporting Harmony Week this year.
