Football News: Girton vs Marist

Thank you to the Senior Boys Football Team, who represented Girton against Marist College on Monday. It was a great day for footy, and the team tried valiantly all game but was unable to secure a victory. 

Despite numerous scoring opportunities in the first half (7 points), it took until the third quarter before the boys kicked a goal. Marist, on the other hand, had 5 goals 7 to half-time. 

The final scores for the day were Girton 3 – 10 – 28 to Marist 12 – 12 – 84. It was great to see some of the students who don’t play football take the opportunity to join their friends for the contest and also to see those who excel show their skills.

Best players: Zaydyn Lockwood (12 Aherne), Melvic Pumbai (10 Frew), Lincoln McKern (10 Riley), Hunter Wright (10 Aherne), Jett Upton (11 Jenkin), Patrick Conlan (10 Jones), Declan Delaney (12 Jenkin), Fraser Mckinstry (12 Aherne).
