Kinder News
Our three-year-olds have enjoyed a week exploring insects and manipulation experiences. Molding play doh and kinetic sand, straightening their hand grip and developing communication and co-operation skills in the process.
The Mother's Day events are an exciting time for our three-year-olds, being the first community even that they experience at kinder and coming together to celebrate as a whole class community.
Our four year old classes enjoyed cooking with Cristina in their Mandarin lessons. Making banana muffins and using their prior knowledge of colours, numbers and fruits in Mandarin.
They loved the process, but getting to eat them at the end of the day was by far the most exciting experience for them!
The children have also been engaging in the exploration of self, with a lot of discussions, artistic expression and communication centered around who we are and how we each have similarities and differences from one another. This knowledge helps in laying a foundation for understanding our own needs, others' perspectives and the development of empathy as a core value.
The mother's and special visitors' concerts were fantastic to have this week. It is truly a joy to be able to share these as a class and to reflect on the wonderful people in each of our worlds and how we can celebrate and share our gratitude in part.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
The kinder team.
