Anzac Day Service

ANZAC DAY Main Service, Tuesday 25 April 2023

Students are invited to attend the Commemoration Service which will commence at 11:00am in Central Park and will be followed by a wreath laying service.

Primary schools are to assemble in East End Mall Beardy St at 10.30am.

Creative Arts Assembly:

Next term we will be holding two creative arts assemblies.  The choir will be performing at the first of these assemblies in Week 2 on Friday 5th May. The choir are also performing at the Armidale eisteddfod a few weeks after this, so this will be a chance for them to showcase their talent!

We will also be holding another assembly in Week 8 Term 2, for students who learn a musical instrument.

PAX Word of the Fortnight: POLITE

Being polite means having or showing behaviour that is respectful and considerate of other people.  PAX Leaders use their manners to show respect and be polite to others.

Things to discuss at home:  How can you show respect at school and at home? It is important to be polite to others because it helps us work as a team.  How does being polite help us to work well together?

Toys:

Just a reminder that students in K-6 should not bring toys to school.  We are having a lot of children bringing stuffed toys, small bags of small toys and other items to school each day.  These toys are getting lost in the playground or they become distracting in class during learning time. Thanks for your help with this.

Attendance Matters:

We have set our school a target to achieve 90% attendance 90% of the time for 2023.

Can you help us do this? Can you make appointments or attend extra curricular activities outside school hours?  Coming to school each day between 8:30am and 9:00am and leaving at 3pm is just a simple way we can achieve this together. Let's do this together.
