Principal's Message

Welcome back to an exciting term 2!!  I hope you enjoyed the Easter/ EAD/Passover break with your families and are refreshed for our learning journey.  I am really excited to be back after my long service leave and have really enjoyed reconnecting with students and teachers.  The teachers and students will explore humanities disciplines and questions to develop their inquiries into these areas.

As a community we have been able to bring back some of our celebrations and events and incorporate new ones.  Everyone I speak to has really enjoyed our school community Iftar with plans for next year already underway!  We are also looking forward to our Mother’s Day Stall, and our week 5 “Book Week” with a dress up day for the kids, an authors visit and a Book Fair.

Helping at home

Sometimes when I see what the kids are learning I am blown away.  I am sure I didn’t learn things like this at primary school when I went.  Admittedly that was a very long time ago! The best way to be involved with your child’s learning is to get them to tell you what they are excited about Read to them or hear them read in English or your home language.

Talking to your kids about what is going on in the world, discussing the news and sharing your interests is another way to extend their general knowledge.  

You don’t have to have a great number of materials at home.  If you are going shopping get the kids to help you write the list or find the items.  If travelling by train read the schedule with them so they have exposure to this type of information.  Playing board and card games teachers many things among them being able to take turns and share.

Prep Enrolments 2024

Prep enrolment for 2024 has already commenced.    If you have a child who will be coming to school for the first time in 2024, please complete an expression of interest form, (available from on our website), at your earliest convenience. I would also appreciate it if parents would let other people in the community know that we are currently accepting enrolments for next year.
