Whole School House Cross Country Day
Rangeview Primary School again held our Whole School House Cross Country Carnival last Friday, in great weather conditions. The students enthusiastically ran a course that wound around the school grounds, with the starting and finishing line located on the oval. Their determination and hard work in building their long-distance running skills were evident, and all competitors should be proud of their achievements.
It was a tremendously enjoyable and competitive day, with Solar being crowned this year’s House Cross Country Champions. We would like to extend our gratitude to our incredible teachers and families for their valuable help and support during the event. It was wonderful to see the Rangeview community come together. We also want to give special thanks to Noel Jones Mitcham for providing a coffee cart and for their continued support of our whole school events. The results of this day will be used to select our District Cross Country team who will represent Rangeview on May the 22nd.

The event was incredibly exciting and entertaining, and we were thoroughly impressed with the effort and attitude displayed by all the participating students. The day included various running events such as the 100m, 200m, and 800m, as well as field events like Discus, High Jump, Shot Put and Long Jump.
After a highly competitive and fun-filled day of competition, Solar emerged as the 2023 House Athletics champions. We extend our congratulations to the Solar team and its House Captains, Ella and Will. (results are mentioned below).
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the wonderful parents, teachers who contributed to making the day a success. Additionally, congratulations to the parent's relay team - consisting of Clint, Alison, Mel and Michael - who were crowned the winners of the teachers vs. house captains vs. parents relay during the lunch break.
The results from the Athletics Carnival will be used to select students for the District Athletics team, who will represent Rangeview in Term 3.
House Athletics Age Group Champions
This year we awarded an ‘Age Group Champion’ for each of our age groups across both the boys’ and girls’ categories after our Level 3-6 House Athletic carnival. These students accumulated the most individual points in their age group across the day and demonstrated great strength in both track and field events. The awards were presented at this week’s senior assembly.
