ON TRACK Music Production Holiday Program

During the recent April school holidays, Staughton College hosted the Mushroom Group’s music production program, “On Track”.  With 34 registrations, it was a full house of fun, laughter, and music!

A total of 5 tracks were written, recorded, and performed in front of family and friends on the final day.  Local Melton MP Steve McGhie attended on April 13, and everyone was featured in Star Weekly.  The article “Melton teens On Track to music greatness” is available here.

I had a really fun time being at the music program. I got to make new friends, perform, learn new skills and learn more about myself.  I got to see the mentors perform and they gave us really nice feedback.  Getting to record was also a very new experience for me and it was super interesting. I would love to go on the program again. I definitely recommend it to everyone to try.

I have always been impressed by the talent displayed by the students at Staughton College. The ON TRACK event, held at our school and facilitated by a dedicated group of professionals, provided an exceptional opportunity for our students to break out of their shells and collaborate with industry experts. It was truly inspiring to watch the students bounce ideas off one another and work together to achieve their goals. I'm excited to see more such events in the future and look forward to the facilitators' continued outstanding work.

Many thanks to Catherine B and Rebecca S for their hard work in organizing and coordinating this wonderful opportunity for our students.  We look forward to more collaborations with the Mushroom Group moving forward.
