From the Assistant Principal

We are very proud of our students and this is reflected in the way they present themselves to the community. We appreciate your support in reminding students that the only jewellery to be visible is a watch and no more than two pairs of studs or sleepers (plain gold or silver). The only over garments to be worn at school are the Glen Eira College approved jacket or jumper.

The exam period for senior school students begins on the 14th June.

It is vital your child has a quiet place to study. Some study skills they may use include;

  • Summarising notes taken in class and then summarising the notes
  • Making concept maps or mind maps of the material they have covered
  • Using post it notes to write key words or summaries and pin them around their bedroom

On the 21st June we have a Curriculum planning day for staff. Students will not be required at school.

You play such an important role in the education of our children. We really value the support and guidance you provide to our students. The Glen Eira 5 articulates our vision and philosophy at the college. This is a commitment made by parents, students and teachers. The following are the 5 commitments from our parents;

  • Involvement and contributions to the broader education program
  • Playing an active role in the child’s learning
  • Supporting their children in achieving their learning goals
  • Promoting the school values
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with the school

To see the commitments from staff and students have a look in the school planner or check out our website.
