SWIMMING CARNIVAL NEWS

• MCC Swimming Carnival is this Friday 9th February.
• Students are required to come in House Colours
• It is a normal school day and attendance is compulsory
• If you have an appointment during the day – you must see Mrs Segrave
• No students will be allowed to leave during the day without a note signed by Mrs Segrave or your year coordinator
• Students are allowed to make their own way to the pool, please be there by 8.50 am
• Students requiring a bus to and from Marian to the pool - will need to meet at Marian on Wakaden st before 9 am – you will also need to let your homeroom teacher know by Wednesday, so buses can be booked
• Students wishing to compete in the 200 m IM or do warm up laps will need to be at the pool before 8.15 am
• There will be a canteen on the day, however, no drinks or food can be purchased from the front foyer
• Points are awarded to all competitors who compete in an event. Additional points will be awarded for House Chants. So get involved !
• Don’t forget the Big Swim – where points are awarded for the number of students per House who complete as many laps as possible in 5 mins. Each lap per person is worth a point
• Make sure you listen to announcements – once your event has been called you proceed to the marshalling area. Remember if you are turning 13 anytime in 2018 then you are in the U13’s age division
• There will be no ordering of food from outside the pool.
• Please remember to bring food, drink, hat and sunscreen on the day.
• Marian holds the biggest swimming carnival in Griffith – it’s a fantastic day and I look forward to seeing you all there !
