Extra-Curricular Extension

A number of extra-curricular extension opportunities are being made available, particularly for HSC students, and I strongly encourage all to take up the challenge and make the most of what is on offer. Many Year 12 teachers are offering holiday workshops - an opportunity to work in partnership for revision and skill  development. This additional, small group time can be very effective in the lead up to the Trial HSC examinations, allowing clarification and specific feedback. 

English Study Days

Early next term, HSC students will be involved in English Studies Days being organised by the NSW English Teachers' Association (ETA). Students across Tamworth will have timely, course specific, input from visiting experts, cementing the very good work of our own English staff.

While this type of opportunity is readily available throughout the year for city students, we are fortunate to have the support of the ETA to ensure that regional students can access the same resources as their counterparts. We are also investigating video streaming with a number of universities, making the most of technology to ensure equitable access to mentors for HSC students.
