McCarthy Catholic College Environmental Council

The Environmental Council has some exciting news to share with the McCarthy community!

On Thursday 30 May, Sustainable Northwest held the 2019 Enviro Race. McCarthy students from all years participated, and assisted on the various challenges which the participants had to complete in order to win the race. McCarthy unfortunately didn’t come away with a victory, but all students had a great time learning how they can be more sustainable in their day-to-day lives.

On Tuesday 11 June, members of the Council came together to complete the bottle top mural! It took 6 hours, 5 people, 4 drills, 3 tubs of screws, 2 boards of wood, and the end result was one fantastic looking mural!

Also don't forget National Tree Day is in the process of being organised for Friday 26 July and students will participate in populating the College with more trees. More information about this will be released closer to the date.
