Prayer and Reflection

Prayer

This is the day that the Lord has made;

let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Ps. 118:24)

Father, I need to ask forgiveness today.

Instead of waking with a joyful spirit, I let all the things I have to do

make me quick to complain and slow to praise you.

Yet I know each day I live is a precious gift from you

- one not to be put on a shelf and ignored but to be opened and enjoyed!

Forgive me for failing to accept your gift graciously today, Lord.

I do thank you for it with all my heart. Amen.

St Vinnies

The St Vinnies' student leaders spoke at assembly this week and launched the Vinnies Winter Appeal for 2019. On advice from the Tamworth St Vincent de Paul shop, the students are requesting donations of blankets and warm children's clothing items, to be brought into the College over the coming weeks. During the winter months, on Mondays & Fridays, the students will be selling hot chocolate in the morning before Mentor Group.

Condolences

Our thoughts and prayers are with Isabelle Hawkins and Lara Dewhurst and their families following the passing of their respective grandfathers.
