Class Placement Process for 2020

To support us in our class placement process for next year, we invite parents/carers to read and complete a "Parent Input for Class Placement" form.  Notes were sent home to all families.  If you did not receive a note they are available from Lee in the front office.

Please take note of the timeline for the form to be returned to school - all forms need to be returned by Friday 6 September 2019 for consideration.

School Run for Fun - Colour Explosion

Get ready for a blast of colour.  On Friday 27/9 (last day of Term 3) we are turning our event from bland to GRAND with an explosion of colour.

We are excited to participate in the School Run4Fun Colour Explosion.  It is the colour craze that is sweeping the nation.

The fundraising commences soon so keep an eye out for the Sponsorship Form each student will receive to help raise funds for our great school.

Canteen - French Day

On Friday 6/9 to support French Day at Hackham East Primary School there will be a variety of food items available for students to purchase at recess time.  Prices start at $0.50.

If you are able to assist in the Canteen on the day please speak with Coralie Goodman.  Any help on the day would be appreciated.

Molluscum Contagiosum

A case of Molluscum Contagiosum has been reported in the Castle Unit. It is a common skin infection and causes small 2-5mm painless pink or pearly white lumps on the skin. The top of the lump is indented and contains a white core. The infection is not serious and only affects the skin and will disappear without treatment although this may take several months. There are no long term ill effects following this infection. People who are immune suppressed may have more lesions and these may take longer to clear up. Diagnosis is made by clinical examination. The virus is transmitted by direct skin to skin contact where there are minor breaks in the skin. The Incubation period (time between becoming infected and developing symptoms) is 2-7 weeks or longer. Infectious period (timer during which an infected person can infect others) is as long as the lumps are present. This may be several months. Once a diagnosis has been confirmed by a Doctor, and relevant treatment has commenced, exclusion from school is not necessary. A Dr Certificate would need to be provided. Please refer to the SA Health website for further information.
