Brentwood Green Team 2020

I am super excited to introduce the Green Team for 2020. 34 students from various year levels have joined the team to act on issues concerning the environment at Brentwood. During the first few weeks of this term, the Green Team discussed strategies for this year, elected the captains and finalised the team logo and mascot.

Henry Lim (Year 11) and Aanya Bedi (Year 9) were elected as team captains by the rest of the team members.

A new logo was designed by Ben Nguyen and Monica Chen. The logo includes the 17 Global Sustainable Development Goals, the Koala as the mascot and the caption ‘Show you care…do your share’.

THANK YOU Brentwood Community

Thank you, Brentwood for listening to our request to reduce waste and littering at Brentwood. 28 student leaders from the Green Team and House Captains participated in the Clean Up Brentwood Day. A significant reduction in waste collected indicates that more students are bringing ‘Nude-food’ to the college. Please continue to support the college and environment by reducing the number of disposable items brought to the college.

A total of 5602 kg of old clothes were collected through the old clothes recycling hub in 2019. This helped us raise the much needed $616 to invest in the sustainable garden at Brentwood. Thank you to all families that donated to the old clothes recycling hub in the staff carpark.
