Year 7 Camp

From the 24th-26th of February, the 2020 year 7's, 16 year 10's and a handful of staff set off to Philip Island for the year 7 camp! We settled down after the bus ride, and quickly got into our first activities for the three days. It was nice to finally meet our groups and get to know each other that afternoon, and to familiarise ourselves with who we would be getting to know over the next few days.

That night after our first dinner, spirits were high in anticipation for the disco, but not for the year 7's quite as much as the year 10's. We danced in fluorescent clothing, enduring the laughter of the year 7's, and got the party started! The next day was our only full day of activities over the camp, so everyone was very tired at the end of it. It was really nice getting to know the year 7's better over the space of this day, and we all enjoyed the fun that it had in store. After the activities had come to a finish, hundreds of us streamed into the pool like there was no tomorrow, and a pool party was set off! That night we hosted a house competition which was heaps of fun and was a big learning experience for us year 10's!

The day after, we adapted the planned activities into some mini games with everybody because of the intense rain that drowned us out, which ended up being a really nice way to finish!

Overall, camp was such an amazing, enjoyable time that we hope the Year 7's will remember forever, and was also such an amazing learning experience for the Year 10's.

Thank you to all the staff that organised and attended the camp because it would not have been possible without you!!
