Kokoda Training begins
At Tyndale Christian School our Senior School students are offered an opportunity biannually to experience the eleven day trek of the Kokoda trail.
Over the last couple of months Alex, Tendai and Shaneika have been training hard in preparation for their 2020 Kokoda Trip.
Students have regularly been training locally at Wirraway Homestead and also Mount Lofty Summit with the rest of the team from Tyndale Salisbury East. During the holidays they completed a tough 20km hike on the Heysen Trail. It was great to see the students encourage each other throughout the day.
Together as a team they will experience the highs, lows, physical and mental pressures followed by the accomplishment of the 96km mountainous trek. It will be an achievement to complete this trek, and those who participate will see a growth in confidence and determination.

Tyndale Strath's first AFLW player
We were thrilled to read this week that Hannah Munyard, a much-loved and respected Tyndalian, was successful in being drafted by the Bulldogs in the AFLW competition. (Photos courtesy of South Adelaide Football Club & AFLW)
"It’s been such a fun journey with my girl up to this point" said Glenn Munyard, Hannah' dad, "coaching her, the many drives, the arguments, the tears and the joy. It’s all been worth it to see that smile on her face and to see the determination and grit to overcome trials to get to the point of now being drafted to the Bulldogs who have been absolutely incredible! Thanks to everyone who has mentored, coached and friended our girl up to this point through footy and all over, your influence is totally appreciated and acknowledged. Can’t wait for the next chapter and probably way more kilometres!"
We as a School community look forward to watching her journey and congratulate her on this wonderful achievement.
