A Fortnight in Review

I trust you have had a good start to the term. I have been impressed by the way the students have returned to school.  I continue to see happy and enthusiastic students enjoying their schooling environment.  A tremendous portion of that student enthusiasm can be attributed to our wonderful teaching and support staff.  We are truly blessed to have such a dedicated team.

Just a reminder that Mr Sam Cheesman, Tyndale Strathalbyn’s new Principal for 2020, will be visiting us on Tuesday 5 November.  The evening will begin with dinner at 6:00pm.  If you are intending to join us for the meal, can I please ask that you complete and return the RSVP slip as soon as possible for catering purposes.

Over the next two weeks we have:

School Tours - Thursday 31 October at 9:30am and 5:00pm

SACSA Netball – Friday 1 November (Yr 4/5 & 6/7)

I would like to take this opportunity to mention that Mrs Therese Atkinson will be taking a year's leave in 2020.  We pray a blessing for her and her family during this time.

Finally, year levels and class allocations for 2020 will be decided towards the end of term.  As you may understand, this is a complex process and one that requires much thought and prayer.

Thank you for partnering with us.

 Take care.

Congratulations Eden

Eden has been nominated in the Year 6 category of the SA Humanity Awards for service to the community, and we are so proud and excited for her! The presentation will be held at the Adelaide Town Hall.

Eden's nomination has come due to her various fundraising efforts, hair donation to Variety, coaching and teaching junior basketball in Strathalbyn, and also her RISE awards as examples of service to her school community.  What an achievement!

Tyndale AFL competition

Tyndale Murray Bridge recently hosted Strathalbyn in a AFL friendly match at Murray Bridge. 2 games were played with separate girls and boys matches being played. It was a great day of competition building many great cross campus relationships along the way. Murray Bridge proved too strong this year but we look forward to avenging this rivalry in 2020. A huge thank you to Yvette Hawke for helping teams out as our personal trainer.

Thank You to Murray Bridge and Jack Snell again for hosting the day.
