Another great week of footy particularly for the local sides one of whom came from 33 points down to win with the other getting up by the barest of margins in a thriller. Brandon Truss did exceptionally well and was the only person to pick all nine winners and as such wins the $100, congratulations Brandon! Eleven people will be feeling pretty happy to have picked eight winners while a further 49 people picked seven winners.
With regard to overall standings Nathan McCracken has been joined out in front by Paul Van Luxemborg with both having picked 62 winners, Hayley Giles remains in second place on 61 winners with a further six people on 60.
Round 11 kicks off with North Melbourne v Richmond – North supporters will hope that last week becomes the new norm and not a once off but anything other than a Richmond win would be an upset;
Collingwood v Fremantle – You would think that the best Fremantle supporters can realistically hope for is a competitive performance;
GWS v Gold Coast – GWS are in ominous form. The only uncertainty I have in my mind is how long will Gold Coast hang in?
Geelong v Sydney – Sydney beat Geelong down in Geelong last year but it’s unlikely it will happen again this year;
Brisbane v Hawthorn – A big game for both sides. Brisbane start favourites due to home ground advantage but a Hawthorn win would not be totally unexpected;
Melbourne v Adelaide – This game is being played in Darwin. Neither side are in particularly good form and it really is a bit of a toss of a coin;
St Kilda v Port Adelaide – This game is being played in China. Port has won both games it has played in China but they were against the Gold Coast, this will be tougher;
Essendon v Carlton – Both sides are really struggling and even more heat will go on the losing team; and
West Coast v Western Bulldogs – The Bulldogs top five or six players are as good as anything going around but they fall away pretty badly after that, can’t see them winning this.
Good luck and thanks for the support!
