  • Schools will ensure sufficient staff are available for necessary on-site supervision.
  • Staff not required for on-site supervision will work from home.

From Monday 12 October

Newlands Primary Arrangements Only

  • Students in Prep to Year 3 return to full-time on-site schooling. The existing remote learning program will not continue for these year levels.
  • Students Year 4 to Year 6 will continue doing remote and flexible learning, other than for children of permitted workers and vulnerable students.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We hope this provides some clarity. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school.

Wednesday 16th September - Pupil Free Day

The students are not required at school or online for this day. The staff will be attending professional learning around the teaching of mathematics. Please make alternative arrangements for the care of your child on this day, as there will be no staff available at school, including OOSHC staff.

Last Day of Term 3 - Friday 18th September

School will finish at 2.30pm. If parents whose children attend at school supervision will need to book Aftercare ASAP.

Dear Families,

We made it to the last week of Term 3! We would just like to say a massive ‘Newlands’ thank you for all your support in helping us ensure the learning has been relevant and engaging. This Wednesday, the school is hosting (virtually) Peter Sullivan, who is recognised as one of the great innovators of the Mathematics curriculum. He will be working with teachers throughout the day to continue to build our knowledge and understanding of best practice in Mathematics.

As Peter will be working with the teachers on Wednesday, there will be no check ins nor on-site supervision provided. The SRC have put together some activities that will be available on Seesaw for everyone to enjoy.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.

Thanks,

Luke Cripps
