Live Physical Education – Monday 31st August

It was great to see a large number of students attend the online PE sessions on Monday last week…and some parents too.  Students participated in fitness and ball handling activities during a fun, 30 minute session.

National Health and Physical Education Day was on Wednesday 2nd September. On this day it was suggested through your child’s PE Google Classroom to have morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea outside, go for a walk, do some gardening, have a go at the physical activities in your child's Google Classrooms, go for a bike ride, etc.  Of course, these activities can be done on any day.

View the clip https://www.sportaus.gov.au/findyour30#on_the_weekend to see why adults needs 30 minutes of physical activity a day and children 60 minutes.  We can still do our online learning, work from home, follow Stage 4 lockdown rules and meet the movement requirements to ensure we lead healthy, happy and productive lives…as this is the basis of ensuring we perform at our best. Phew - I'm exhausted. :)

Sport's Assembly – Friday 4th September

At assembly last Friday students dressed up in their favourite sports gear and brought along a healthy ‘nude’ food as part of the celebration of National Health and Physical Education day.  An entertaining slide show of Term 3 PE online learning was shown.

Whole School Sports Day – Tuesday 15th September

On the last Tuesday of Term 3 Mullum will run an inaugural online Sports Day.

Students are encouraged to dress in their House colours and participate in the online events.  (Please, wear your Mullum uniform if you don't have clothes of your House colours.)

Students are to compete in as many events as possible over the whole day!  Normal studies will not run on this day.  Once completing an event, students are to put their scores into an online survey.  The House with the most points on the day wins!!

Score sheets and event descriptions will be supplied via students’ PE Google Classrooms for Years 2 to 6; and via your teacher's Google Classroom for Years Foundation to 1, at 8am on Tuesday 15th September.  If you take any photos or videos could you please email them to Mrs Pumpa via the PE Google Classroom or your class teacher.

Have fun!
