Year 12 Hospitality - Cultural Lunch in honour of Portugal Day

This week, our Year 12 Hospitality students have undertaken their last food and beverage service of the term by preparing and serving lunch in honour of Portugal Day. They have prepared a buffet service catering for all students and staff. The menu included Piri Piri Chicken Bites and Portuguese Tarts.

We have undertaken countless service periods aqthis term and I just wanted to say thank you and a huge congratulations to this Year 12 class for all the hard work they have put in to catch up on all their practical work hours for their assessment. It has not been an easy journey for this class, especially with the COVID restrictions last year and the limitations around doing any practical work whatsoever.

All service periods have been a massive success and I am super proud of all of you.

Year 11 Hospitality - VIP Service and the beginning of their Sandwiches Journey!

Our Year 11 Hospitality class will now begin their journey of undertaking practical service periods, starting with preparing and serving many types of sandwiches. So far, they have learnt how to make a Bruschetta, Eggs Benedict, Pullman Sandwich and a Pinwheel Sandwich. They are expected to prepare these under industry standard time constraints, and they have also undertaken a simulated service in preparing different types of sandwiches under a strict service window.
