Term 3, Week 2

Prep Reminders:

  • Tuesday the 2nd of August is our 100th day of School. We have lots of fun activities planned for the day. We would like to invite the students to dress up like they are 100 years old. Get creative with glasses, hair, and outfits. We can't wait to see our little people looking 100 years old!
  • In Term 4, we are taking up an additional opportunity with an extra excursion to the Capital Theatre to see Pevan and Sarah Live. We use Pevan and Sarah videos to supplement our learning and we can't wait to see them in person! We decided to take up this opportunity of the additional excursion, hoping that the extra notice will be enough to make this possible. The other planned excursions and incursions that will incur a cost for the rest of the year are: Ballarat Wildlife Park at the end of Term 3 (around $45), The Blurbs at the end of Term 3 (around $10) and our Swimming Program at the end of Term 4 (between $10-$60, depending on government funding and grants. In the past our swimming program has been heavily funded with government grants). We are expecting the Pevan and Sarah excursion to cost around $25, depending on the cost of the bus.

What we have been up to...

On the Thursday of the last week of term, we had our House Academic Day. We all went into different groups and did lots of fun activities in 4 different classrooms. We loved getting points for our houses by working hard on the activities!

On the last day of Term 2, we had a surprise celebration for Milo's Birthday! It was a fantastic way to celebrate learning all of the single sounds of the letters. We made party hats and went on a scavenger hunt to find words that matched each letter of the alphabet.
