Wear It Yellow for Children's Ground

Last Friday we held a yellow themed dress up day (Wear It Yellow) to raise money for Children's Ground during Reconciliation Week, which was an accumulation of a week's learning about Australia's history, a celebration of First Nations cultures, and a recognition to support justice for First Nations people.

I thank the Year 6 leaders in Wellbeing and Faith & Social Justice for leading the school in a special liturgy for reconciliation and peace at last Friday's assembly.

$770.80 was raised, thank you so much to all students, staff and parents for your generous contributions!

Joyful June

This month's theme on actionforhappiness.org is Joyful June. When facing big challenges we can still notice the little good things. Even in difficult times, there is still a lot to be grateful for. And we can actively cultivate positive feelings by looking for what's good. Practising this daily can help us to stay present, well regulated, and can decrease stress and anxiety. Attached is the calendar to this theme, you may like to do these with your children or personally yourself.

Parent Teacher Interviews, Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd of June.

Bookings are now open for our Parent Teacher Interviews on Tuesday 21st June from 1:30pm to 6:00pm and Thursday 23rd June from 3:50pm to 5:00pm.

Please note that on Tuesday 21st June all students will be finishing at 1:00pm. TheirCare is available should you need it.

Academic reports for Semester 1 will be issued to families on Friday 17th June. The interviews are an opportunity to discuss with the classroom teacher your child’s progress so far, as well as their future learning needs. An effective partnership between the home and school is key to the education of your child, and we appreciate your time to make this conversation happen.

We are pleased to offer two meeting modes. All bookings on Tuesday 21st June will be face-to-face in your child’s classroom at school. All bookings on Thursday 23rd June will be online video conferencing using Google Meet, which works on laptops / desktops / mobile. Parents and carers are welcome to book whichever mode suits them best.

For video conferencing, upon making your booking you will receive a video conferencing link. At your allocated time, please click the join link and wait for your class teacher to admit entry into the virtual room.

All interviews are strictly 10 minutes only. The smooth running of our Parent Teacher Interviews relies on all parents keeping to the timetable. Please consider other parents and end on time. If you need more time with a particular teacher, arrange a separate meeting or phone call.
