A Message from Parents & Friends
Hi Everyone,
We hope that you all had a great winter school holiday and managed to survive the chill through Melbourne (although that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere)! We are really excited for Term 3 and all that we have going on as a School Community, including all of our fundraising. We know that we’re getting close to our target of getting these new sporting facilities started. Please know that your continued support of our fundraising really is making such a difference to our pot of money. Please see our updates below for what’s coming up.
Term 3
Thursday 28th July – Subway Special Lunch orders
Thank you to everyone who has placed an order – ordering is now closed. We organise our monthly special lunches in the hope that it takes a bit of pressure off once a month trying to cobble a lunch together, especially at the end of the week, when the snacks and fruit bowl are running low!
Lunch will be delivered to classrooms by our wonderful volunteers. If you would like to help distribute these lunches, please sign up here:
Friday 19th August – Spooktacular Quiz Night
Tickets are now open for our adult only event. Tickets are limited with 120 available, with a table being of a minimum of eight people. The quiz is general knowledge, but you can dress up as scarily as you wish! We have lots of games happening through the night to help you get to know your community and meet new people. We will also have our silent auction running again this year with great prizes for a great price on offer. Tickets are $15 per person. BYO your food and whatever you wish to drink on the night. This is a fabulous night of fun and entertainment, so get your babysitters and tickets booked!

Also, if you have any unopened bottles of wine or spirits that you know that you’re not going to drink, please consider donating to the school for some of our games that night.
Father’s/ Special Person’s Stall and Event August/ September
Calling all Dads and Special People to make a note in their diaries – we are holding our special event for you on Friday 2nd September. We’re busy liaising with David on what the event will look like and will update you in the next newsletter. We will also be having our next Special Lunch at this event – hot pies! Our stall will be held on Wednesday 31st August and Thursday 1st September for children who wish to purchase something for their special person.

Friday Treats
Just a reminder that we will be alternating with a variety of treats during Term 2 to mix it up a little for the children. Here’s what the calendar looks like for the rest of Term 3:

- Friday 19th August - Flavoured Milk
- Friday 26th August - Giant Snakes
- Friday 2nd September - Icy Poles (subject to weather)

TERM 4
Family Photos – Saturday 22nd October
We have booked Vision Portraits to come to School to take family photos on a Saturday. These can be any theme you wish, dress up in anything you want, the photo is yours and will make a great special present! Photos start at $10 and we will be sending more information home in the next few weeks so you can book a slot for a family photo.
Grandparents/ Special Person’s Day – Friday 28th October
Make sure that you share this date with Grandparents or the special person/ people in your child’s life. We are welcoming them into our school to spend some time in school and enjoy a special lunch of Bakers Delight Pizza (if they wish) along with your child. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to introduce their friends, teacher, class and school community to people who are important in their life. More details will be issued in September.
