Kitchen Garden

Junior School Kitchen and Garden

In the garden the Foundation Students have worked together to plant cauliflower, brussels sprouts and cabbage seedlings into one of the wicking beds. The seedlings under the mini hothouse will soon be able to be transplanted into the wicking beds. The Junior Students have harvested all our potatoes and are currently sorting them by size to keep some for next seasons planting. The two large trees next to the mudbrick have been removed. Thanks to Sienna and Cassidy for their help to drag all the large branches to the bonfire. A small group of grade 1/2 students planted grasses, mulched and watered the garden beds next to the mudbrick. Many staff members stopped to comment on how good the newly planted garden bed looked. It was a pleasure to work with Lenny, Zoe, Zara, Tyler, Harper, Flynn, Connor and Hazel in the afternoon. Such a great team effort.
