Year 7 Science

Year 7 students have started learning about what it means to ‘think like a scientist’ and have started to develop their science skills. They are learning about the different scientific equipment, how to conduct themselves safely in a science laboratory and the importance of accuracy when making measurements.

Year 8 Science

GTAC scientists visit MSC

We had a number of scientists and educators from GTAC (the Gene Technology Access Centre) visit MSC on Monday 3rd February. They worked with our Year 8 students, who learnt about the effects of smoking on the respiratory system and explored issues around infertility. A highlight was using high quality microscopes to view live boar semen to do a sperm count.
