Stomp Performance Change
Unfortunately we will not be able to have our intended STOMP performance due to COVID restrictions. However, we have a plan so you won’t miss out. Our talented camera crew will be filming the final performance on Friday afternoon (Session 5). This will be uploaded ASAP to our College Compass News Feed for all families to enjoy. Hopefully your child will also perform the dances at home for you.
On Friday, March 26th, your child will need to wear their STOMP outfit (anything brightly coloured – no strappy tops or thongs) to school.
It is unfortunate that our STOMP performance has been affected again – however, we hope you enjoy the video and can celebrate your child’s success with us.
Merbein P-10 College Council Elections - 2021
Nominations for the 2021 Parent Category vacancies have been extended until tomorrow 19th March. We still have 2 parent vacancies available so I would encourage any interested parents to complete a self-nomination form, which is available at the front office.
CSIRO Bebras Computational Challenge
Parents/guardians of students in year 7, and selected year 8, 9 and 10 classes will have received an email regarding the CSIRO Bebras Computational Challenge. It is a simple online problem solving challenge offered to all students to promote their thinking skills. To give permission for your child to participate, you only need to log into Compass (as a parent/guardian), and go to the Events section under the main menu. Here you should see listed any events (activities and excursions) that have digital permission notes. If you have any questions please contact kyra.fetherston@education.vic.gov.au
Dance Costumes
Mrs. Dunbar is looking for someone who has basic sewing skills who is willing to sew 18 skirts for Eisteddfod costumes. Please contact the school if you can help.

We are launching an exciting new program – a supported rock band for young people with disabilities aged 14-25 years.
The sessions will be Tuesdays 5.40-6.40pm at our Merbein studio and will be facilitated by RMT and rock musician Lewis Reidy-Crofts. We are an NDIS provider and participants are welcome to use their NDIS funds to access this program.
If you or someone you know plays an instrument or sings even at a beginner level then you can be part of this amazing opportunity –a safe place to apply your music skills and create music together.
