Vanessa Simpson

Congratulations Vanessa Simpson (Hillgrove) who played in the Northern Inland Bolters side (2/107), who just fell short against the Coffs Coast (0/166) girls in the NSW Women's competition at North Sydney Oval earlier this week. Your Club, Association, Community and family are very proud of your efforts Vanessa. As Vanessa said, "it was a great experience!"  (Armidale District Cricket Association)

NSW Rowing Championships

February 7 saw rowers from all over the State represent their schools and clubs in the NSW State Rowing Championships at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.

Elian represented Armidale Rowing Club and O'Connor Catholic College when she rowed in the final of the U19 Women's Double Scull at the Championships. Her and Hannah (from the Manning River Club at Taree) put down a time of 8 mins 21 seconds was a fantastic result for two girls who have had very few opportunities to train together.
