From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week our prep students reached a milestone in their learning journey at St Simon’s by commencing full weeks attendance at school. During the month of February our prep students have Wednesdays at home to allow them to adjust to the routines of school.

The Prep teachers use these Wednesdays to have one on one meetings with each prep student to find out what they know and what the next step in their learning is.

Our prep students have been adjusting to the busyness of playground life at recess and lunch, wearing their yellow school hats proudly, whilst being supporting with their year 6 buddies.

St Simon’s Parents’ Association 2021

The Parents’ Association is an important part of our school community and I am grateful for all the work they do providing opportunities to build school community and fundraise for projects and resources that benefit our students.

This week you will be receiving more information about The Resilience Project Colour Fun Run which will take place on Friday 19th March.

Throughout the year I encourage you to consider how you can assist from time to time with Parents’ Association activities and events.  If you would like to know more information about how you can assist, please contact the school office.

As we approach the Labour Day weekend, I hope that this time gives families time to recharge and relax for a day or two as we continue our way through Term 1.

God bless
