Volleyball Program

Beach volleyball in South Melbourne

Fun at the beach

Last Friday, players from the Volleyball Development Program headed down to South Melbourne for some Beach Volleyball. The event was an opportunity for our senior players to have one last hoorah before they officially retire from the Development Program to focus on their studies and other pursuits.

There have been some momentous occasions take place throughout their many years representing NHS at State and National tournaments, bringing home bronze, silver and gold medals and being among the first teams to participate in the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup at its new home on the Gold Coast. We would like to thank them for all they have done and continue to do for the program and the wider volleyball community at NHS. We wish them all great success for the future and hope that they take with them the knowledge and skills they have developed throughout their years in the program.

We also, welcome back our Yr 9 Boys Volleyball team who are focussed on competing at the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup (Gold Coast) in December for the first time. It is a whole year of commitment, attending early morning trainings week in week out, developing their craft and fundraising for financial support for the tournaments.
