Learning and Teaching

Dear Parents

In 2017 we will continue to build and develop our Learning and Teaching Scope and Sequence 'Courageous Minds'. During Term One the whole school will be learning under the throughline 'Head, Heart & Hands'.  A throughline captures the overall focus for learning and teaching and is supported by the following Learning Statement: 

We believe that in order to flourish we need to be safe and develop a healthy mind, heart and body. This relies on the choices we make and our connectedness to: community, family, friends and our spiritual self.

Each class will be learning through a mixture of explicit teaching of skills, capabilities and knowledge, and through an integrated inquiry approach where the Victorian Curriculum will be explored through the lens of our Catholic identity and the Learning Statement above.
