Heathmont Bollards Art Competition
The Heathmont History Group has been successful in securing a grant that allowed 12 of the bollards up at the Heathmont shops to have decals wrapped around them that were of student artwork from Marlborough Primary School. Students in Grades 2-6 each created a design during their Art lessons.
The criteria was to create an artwork that depicted the history of Heathmont as fruit orchards. The following fruits were grown here in Heathmont - lemons, cherries, apples, pears and plums.
Congratulations to the following 12 students who have been selected to have their artwork transferred onto a bollard:-
- Summer W
- Amber L
- Indigo B
- Zach F
- Emma H
- Ebony S
- Lola R
- Hollie N
- Oscar C
- Vincent B
- Lily M
- Zachary D
Gerry Robinson, from the Heathmont History Group, is hoping to have the artwork transferred onto the bollards by the end of the year, so keep an eye out for these creative designs!
I would like to congratulate all the students in Grades 2-6 for showing such enthusiasm and interest in this project. Fingers crossed Gerry can secure another grant for more bollards!
