2017 Music

As the year is drawing to a close for the year 12 students, across the College Learning Areas are wrapping up their learning and saying their final goodbyes. The Year 12 Music students kicked off their final week of classes by putting on a concert on the Green to celebrate. All year 12 students were invited to perform and we congratulate the following on their performance - Daniel Larosa, Daniel Arandez, Dylan Foti, Marielle Lopez, Nina Pombuena, Adrian Zammit, Isaac Anderson, Lorenzo Atonio, Caitlyn Sanahon and Alexander Celestial. Congratulations also to Joel Spiteri for organising the event, including the special guest appearances of Sophie Salibi and David O’Brien who joined performers for renditions of “All the small things” and “We are the Champions”.

On Wednesday 20th October, students of Year 2 VET Music joined forces for one final night in the Crate. For the first and last time, students all performed on the same stage providing parents, friends and staff an insight into their upcoming exams. The night was a good one as students showed off two years of hard work and development of their chosen instrument. From Joseph Corio’s accordion renditions of pokemon music to Daniel Larosa and Isaac Anderson’s medley of guitar riffs, from Brittney FitzGerald’s tribute to the musical Hairspray to the 80s stylings of Joel Spiteri, Matthew Martello, Julian Musig, James Callanan, Dylan Foti, Daniel Arandez and Obrah Tyrell there was something for everyone. Congratulations to the VET Music class of 2017 Daniel Arandez, Chelsey Borg, Stella Causing, Joseph Corio, Dylan Foti, Amy Koprek, Daniel Hennell, Daniel Larosa, Serah Mendes, Alicia Malady, Matthew Martello, Julian Musig, Joel Spiteri, Karina Levchenkova, Mary Christine Ngoma, Carine Taylor, Brittney FitzGerald and Obrah Tyrell. There were so many lovely things said of not just this performance but all done throughout the year. A massive thanks also to James Callanan, Iorah Tyrell, Causing and Brendan Gonsalves for assisting the students in the class throughout the year.
