VOICE STUDENTS CONCERT  

Well done to our students who undertake vocal tuition and their tutors Mr Andrew Goodwin and Ms Maria Timofeeva on a wonderful afternoon of singing last Wednesday. From Classical to Jazz and Pop music, the boys showcased their skills in a variety of styles and are to be commended for their efforts.

SENIOR DRAMA ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE NIGHT  

The students in the Senior Drama Ensemble will be presenting scenes from Dario Fo’s political comedy ‘Accidental Death of an Anarchist’ next Tuesday 19th June at 6.00 – 7.00pm in the Sarto Centre.  Friends and family are warmly invited to attend.

MEET THE MUSIC

Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 Elective Music students will be attending the final concert for the year next Thursday evening, 21st June at 6.30pm at the Sydney Opera House. The students should be in their seats no later than 6.15pm and the Concert concludes at approximately 8.00pm (please note the earlier finish time).

A THOUSAND CRANES

A reminder that tickets are now on sale for this combined Mercy College and St Pius X College production. Students have been rehearsing diligently both after school and on weekends to ensure that all performances are of the highest calibre. Performance nights are Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th June at 7.00pm in the Sarto Centre and tickets can be purchased through the Trybooking link: https://www.trybooking.com/388035

YEAR 12 DRAMA HSC SHOWCASE

A Term 3 date for your diary! Our Year 12 HSC Drama students will be presenting their individual and group performances on Thursday 26th July at 6.00pm in the Sarto Centre. This date is different to the one published in the College calendar, so please make a note of the change. This is one of the last opportunities that the students will have to showcase their work prior to the HSC, so it would be wonderful if there was a large and enthusiastic audience to see their work.

SINGING TUITION VACANCIES

Places are available with our Voice Tutors should any student wish to commence tuition next term.  An application form can be downloaded from the College website or obtained from Ms Bates in the Performing Arts Staffroom.

Vivid Photography Event:  Students and parents who took part in the Vivid Chatswood photographic event enjoyed a cool but thankfully dry night shooting the light displays on Tuesday. The Canon Collective team taught a range of camera skills such as long exposure shots to capture light trails.

Participants from the two nights can now present their favourite shot for an A3+ print from the Art Department. Huge thanks to the Canon Ambassadors Emma and Scott who delivered a wealth of knowledge and inspired us to learn more about Photography.
