The overwhelming success these students have achieved is another example of the hard work and dedication the visual arts staff at St James College have put in to provide successful pathways in preparation for their VCE studies. And, the successful transition program run by the Yr 10 team at St James College to allow our students the opportunity to thrive and excel in their VCE studies.

In other exciting news, two of our students, Fredrick Telfer 7.2 and Mark Attia 10.1, entered their work in the Glen Eira Youth Art Exhibition.

This exhibition provides students across a range of ages to have their works presented in a professional art space and viewed by the public.  Students are eligible to win prizes in the following areas:

Primary (five to 12 years), Secondary (13 to 18 years) and Senior (19 to 25 years).

The winner of the 2019 Secondary Art Award went to Mark Attia for his sculptural self-portrait, created using plywood and sand. The artwork is a reflection of multi-faceted aspects of our own personalities. We are exceptionally proud of Mark and his achievements and we as a College, would like to congratulate him.

Finally, preparations are underway for the annual SIS Art exhibition at Cube Gallery in Frankston. Students and their families will be contacted in the coming weeks if their artwork has been selected for presentation.
