State Swimming

Congratulations to the students who attended the Victorian State Swimming Championships on Wednesday the 18th April. Students and results included:

Lily Davis: Butterfly Bronze Medal

                       Backstroke Silver Medal

 Charlie Sansom: Freestyle 8th Place

 Luke Baxter: Backstroke STATE CHAMPION – Gold Medal

 Girls 17-20 Medley Relay

       (Tiff Fahey, Lily Davis, Charlie Sansom, Teo Knezic)  7th Place

 Girls Freestyle Relay

      (Tiff Fahey, Lily Davis, Charlie Sansom, Teo Knezic)  Bronze Medal

Overall, Dromana College placed 33rd out of 135 schools.

It is a huge effort to get to the State Championships and what amazing result.

Well done Dromana College SwimTeam, we are so proud of you all.

Mountain Bike Racing

 Victorian Schools Mountain Bike Race Sunday June 24th 2018

Would you like to try racing mountain bikes on the same Hillview trail that you ran for the school’s cross country?

Then come and see Mr Wale, Mr Wood, Ms Mason, or Mr Doye for more information or go to the Cycling Victoria webpage to enter. Entry is less than $20 and you will be racing in age groups. We would love as many riders in our team as possible. Its not about winning, if you do, bonus! but its more about getting involved and active.

Cross Country

Below you will see the division cross country team. They all ran incredibly well, representing Dromana College with pride. Congratulations and good luck to the 45 students who will progress onto the SMR finals to be held at Ballam Park on Monday 18th June. A special mention to Eden McKeown, Tilly Hopkins, Jamie Hale and Lawson Duff for being age group champions and receiving a gold medal.
