Year 12 Update
A busy time of year for those students doing VCE

Our Year 12 students are moving toward the end of their Unit 3 subjects, with the final assessments scheduled for the coming weeks. There have been some outstanding results so far.
As they negotiate their busy schedules it is vital students keep up with the workload by planning their time carefully and prioritising tasks. We urge our Year 12s to take every opportunity to complete all practice assessments/class activities and improve via teacher feedback. It is an easy trap to focus solely on SACs while ignoring the building blocks to success in those SACs.
We must also take this opportunity to remind parents it is a requirement that students who fall ill when an assessment is taking place make contact with their teacher on the day and submit a medical certificate when they return to school. This requirement is clearly stipulated in our VCE Handbook and is vital in ensuring fairness for all students.

With all their hard work it is also important that our students have something to look forward to. In that vein, this year the Preshil formal returns to the beautiful Leonda by the Yarra where we will enjoy a three-course meal along with music, dancing, photos and dressing up!
I would like to give a huge thank you to the group of very dedicated students who have been steadily organising this event for the enjoyment of all. Tickets have just gone on sale through trybooking. Students are encouraged to purchase them by Friday 8 June to aid planning of the event. There will be a series of fundraisers over the coming weeks (sausage sizzles and bake sales) to help reduce costs so please help in supporting them.
Upcoming dates for your diary
o THIS FRIDAY 25 May at lunchtime: the next sausage sizzle fundraiser will be held - sausages $2.50 and drinks $2. For anyone wanting vegetarian options, please email ASAP to david.miller@preshil.vic.edu.au
