Olympics Unleashed

Year 9 students were lucky enough to be part of the Olympics Unleashed program.

Nathan Katz (Under 66kg) Judo visited Henry Kendall High School in week 5 to speak to the students about the challenges he faces as an Olympian and the choices he has made as he moves towards Tokyo 2020. We would like to thank Nathan for coming to visit us and we wish him all the best with his training for the Olympics next year.

Stage 6 PDHPE – HSC Study Day

A reminder to all students in Year 12 PDHPE that the HSC Study Day is coming up on Wednesday 26 June 2019. Please ensure that you pay your $60.00 to the front office and return your permission note to Mr Wright and Mr Mellish.

Creating Chances

Year 8 Boys

Our Creating Chances students have started their coaching sessions with Gosford Primary School this term. Each Thursday 16 boys from Year 8 plan out their sessions and learn about the fundamental skills of planning/implementing a coaching session. The boys are learning some key skills about what it takes to be an effective coach and how to plan a positive coaching session for young students. These skills include leadership, clear communication, leadership and perseverance.

This program will continue until the end of Term 2 and we look forward to seeing our Year 8 boys improve their coaching skills and become positive role models.
