Congratulations to Zoe Weinberg who recently competed in the Grand Nationals in Sydney on her horse last week. Zoe competed on her Riding and Child's Show Hunter Galloway at the Show Horse Council of Australasia Grand National Saddle Horse & Rider Championships at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre last week. She rode Kolbeach Crown in the Child’s Show Hunter Galloway and did a lovely workout but wasn’t the English judges choice this time. She then rode Vienna Smith’s Varekai in her Rider 12 yrs and under 15 yrs against 37 of the highest quality riders from all over Australia and NZ and they produced a beautiful workout. Qualifying for this amazing event is no mean feat. Zoe learnt a lot during the week and can’t wait to qualify again for this prestigious competition.

Term 2 Horsemanship

The Junior and Senior Horsemanship programs have been a hive of activity this term and all our riders have enjoyed their time at the Equestrian Centre and gained valuable skills and knowledge from our highly capable team of coaching staff. Thank you to parents, staff and students for all your efforts and participation this term. If you would like to join the Horsemanship Program for Term 2, please find attached to the newsletter forms to register your interest prior to the beginning of Term 2. We look forward to seeing you and your horses again next term!

Our Interhouse Showjumping night has been rescheduled to Friday 31 May, 2019 at 4pm. Please find an entry form attached for those who have not yet entered. Previous entries will be retained unless otherwise advised by individual riders. We look forward to seeing you all then!

Please make sure you join our THAC Equestrian Facebook page for regular updates and photos of all our Equestrian endeavours. Updates and entry forms for competitions are also posted on this page so make sure you keep up to date!

Please note any horses who are regularly coming to and from the Hamilton and Alexandra College Equestrian Centre must be up to date with vaccinations for Tetanus and Strangles and records of these will be maintained to ensure the biosecurity of the centre. You must also notify the Director of Horsemanship immediately if your horse has been in or originated from Queensland or Northern New South Wales. Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions.
