Victorian High Ability Program

Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP) in English and Maths

During  Term 4, a select group of 13 students in Yr 8 participated in the new Victorian High Ability Program.  This program involved high-ability Years 5 – 8 students across Victorian government schools participating in a 10-week virtual enrichment program.

Students that participated in the program included;

Secondary Maths– Noah Bailey, Evelyn Butler, Jekab Gravelsins, Clarice Lennie, Hannah McCleary and Nicholas Pettigrove

Secondary English – Rhyanna Ansems, Jake Augustine, Eana Dimog, Sarah Maguire, Tamara Mills, Jasmin Salah, Jeron Street

Each student committed to the program and were extended in a range of learning and activities in their high ability subject area.  They were required to attend a WebEx class each week, complete lessons and activities and manage homework tasks whilst maintaining their regular school program.

Congratulations to all students involved in this program and as these students finish their VHAP course with new knowledge and experience, we welcome a new selection of Year 8 students into the program starting Term 1, 2021.
