Year 6 fun

Today the Year 6 students travelled to Tyrol Park for an intraschool continuous cricket tournament.

We managed to beat the heat and played first thing in the morning, while there was still some shade.

There were some amazing cricketing skills on display – classic catches, scintillating shots, brilliant bowling and super sportsmanship! Well done, Year 6.

ICAS Maths, English and Science

Congratulations to all students who participated in the ICAS Assessments this year! 

ICAS Assessments are designed to recognise academic excellence, where students are assessed on their ability to apply their learning to higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills. In Term 4, sixty students from Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 came to school early at 8:00am across three days and sat the online testing run by the University of NSW. 

We had some fantastic results this year – more than half of the students received at least one Distinction or High Distinction in one of the three subjects. High Distinction certificates are awarded to students who score within the top 1% of all participants within Australia and Distinction certificates are awarded to students who score within the top 10%.

Level 6 Graduation

The Graduation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 16th December.

The students are getting excited, enjoying being part of the planning and looking forward to a fun night with their friends.

This event will be streamed live via WebEx so all family members that are not present in the audience can watch live at home. The address / link to watch this event will be sent to Year 6 families via Compass prior to the Graduation Ceremony.
