Set Yourself up for a Great Year
It has been wonderful to be able to start the 2021 school year with a real sense of community and purpose. At each year level assembly, the girls were reminded about the importance of values, purpose and the vision and mission of Kilbreda College. To follow on from these shared opportunities last week, the attached article below by Andrew Fuller addresses '12 Hints and Tips' for setting yourself up for a great year. As a clinical psychologist, Andrew Fuller works with many schools and communities in Australia and internationally, specialising in the wellbeing of young people and their families. I would encourage all families to read through the attached article and consider how you might be able to put in place some of the advice by Fuller.
Scholars of Distinction Assembly

Year 9 and Year 10 Parent Evening – Elevate Education
Parents and carers of students in Year 9 and Year 10 are invited to join us on Wednesday 17 February at 7:00pm in the Auditorium to learn about the study skills workshops that their daughters will be involved in, and how to support their daughters at home with study techniques to enhance their learning. This evening will be presented by Elevate Education. The flyer attached (below) was emailed to parents of Year 9 and 10 students. Please ensure you book through the Trybooking link. A recording of the evening will be made available after the event for a limited time.
Elevate Education – Parent Webinar Recording
We are proud to work with Elevate Education to provide multiple opportunities for students and parents to engage with workshops regarding study skills and techniques. On Wednesday 10 February Elevate offered a free webinar to parents around Australia, with over 1600 parents tuning in. The recording of the webinar has been made available for a limited time.
