Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church. St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parishes’ ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Welcome back to 2021!

I feel so privileged and excited to be part of this wonderful community and part of such an amazing, caring staff. Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome over the past few days. I look forward to making time to meet many more of you in the months ahead. When you see me around the school please always feel welcome to come and introduce yourself. Always know that all staff here at St Anthony’s are here to work in partnership with you and to support you in any way we can. If you have any feedback or ideas we always want to hear them.

It has been fabulous to see everyone already enjoying their new friends, teachers and their new spaces with such wonder and awe. On Monday our 2021 Preps joined us at school. It was such a pleasure meeting all the students, parents, carers and grandparents.  Thank you to  those who joined us for a cup of tea or coffee in our Community Hub.

This year we welcome some new staff to our   St Anthony’s community. I know that everyone will join me in welcoming Maggie Collins our Visual Arts teacher who will also be working in Prep SC and Jen Haigh who will be working as Learning Support Educator and supporting our students and teachers. We also welcome Kirsty Platon back from maternity leave.

2021 promises to be a year full of exciting new opportunities and great learning. This year we focus on a Year of Grace. God’s Grace can be described as an unearned gift that God graciously gives us however, it is so much more. God willing gives us His Grace to help us do what we could never do on our own.

God's Grace Empowers Us To Do The Impossible!

Prayer for families:

Gracious God,

You have blessed this ancient land with many gifts, especially its people. We thank you for your Grace and this new year, a time to start afresh, express generosity in spirit and achieve the impossible!

Open our hearts and minds to the presence of your Holy Spirit, let us sense your Grace and share it with others. This year may we be transformed, our relationships be healed, and our nation grow in compassion and justice.

We make our prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Have a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,
