PFA Update

This week, I really enjoyed our Zoom catchups, having chats with my Year 12 cohort, and seeing parents meet up for a walk.
As parents, we are still coming to terms with the grief of 2020/21 VCE and its effects on our family, friends and community, but there are so many good stories to share about what people are doing to cope and manage their feelings.
Most of all, I enjoyed the comfort of sharing, acknowledging and being uplifted by the warmth and care of others. I hope you have found your catch-ups fun and uplifting. Please email pfa@kilvington.vic.edu.au to see if we can set something up.

Kilvington cares
Our super impressive cooks have been providing care to our families and staff through the pandemic. I can’t thank them enough for their generosity and kindness. The meals and treats have reminded us that we are not alone, and we care. Thank you to our Kilvington Cares Coordinator Christina Welsford and her extraordinary team of carers.
PFA General Meeting - 7 September
The September PFA General Meeting has been moved online to Tuesday evening, 7 September from 7.30 - 8.30pm. All are welcome. It’s a nice opportunity to check in with each other and the School. Join the Zoom meeting here (meeting ID: 777 3424 6022 and passcode: n7URi7).
Crafting dates
Our craft team has moved their craft sessions online and is now preparing to send sewing packs home for you to make at home, starting with tote bags. Keen family members who sew are most welcome to join in as well.

Sessions will continue online to help beginners, and all are welcome to join in with their own projects, or just to chat. Earring/jewellery making will be offered as an activity soon.

Parent community 2022 signups
The 2022 PFA and CSR sign-up is open, and I encourage you to consider signing up and making the most of the opportunities we have next year to come together.
This signup is an indication of your interest and positions will be awarded at the AGM in November.
There are several of us leaving with our Year 12 students, and to ensure a smooth transition we are doing the signups now. Should you wish to discuss any role in the exec or on the team, please contact ck.ten@hotmail.com.
