Lucie Dickens, Academic Dean of Languages

Our Year 6 students have made some cards in French for Father's Day - so cute!

Junior School art competition

Back by popular demand, the theme for this week's Junior School art competition is ‘primary colours’.

Each entry will receive ten points for their House. The winners for Prep - Year 3 and for Years 4 - 6 will receive a secret prize when we return to School. Watch this video for more details.

We’ll run these weekly competitions for the duration of the lockdown. The entry form can be found on KCEE.

Go Girls cyber edition 2.0 conference

On 25 August, our Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 girls participated in the online Go Girls Cyber Edition 2.0 Conference.

This one-day event focuses on inspiring students with fantastic role model speakers, showcases technology of the future, and challenges any preconceptions of what a career in IT might look like.

It also opens up the possibilities of careers in everything from Analysis and User Design to

Development and Data Science (just to name a few!).

You go girls!

Augmented reality workshop

Our Years 5 and 6 boys also had some fun with technology on 26 August.

Students attended a workshop where they learnt about augmented reality and its application in the real world.

Using the MERGE Cube template on CoSpaces, students designed, built and programmed a biome they could hold in their hands!
