RUBBER-BAND RACERS
Students in Year 9 Control Technology have been busy with their latest Engineering Task - trying to build a vehicle from the Lego pieces available to be powered by a single rubber-band. The vehicle must be able to travel at least 2 metres in a straight line (with no additional launch assistance) as fast as possible.
Prototypes have been designed, built and tested with continual modification in an attempt to be one of the fastest vehicles in the class. Final testing in 09ICT-1 will involve a series of head-to-head races to find the fastest car and award the title to the most effective engineers in the class for this task.

OCULUS RIFT
The students in the Year 12 Software Development class got to take a short break from their VCE studies to experience the Oculus Rift 3D Virtual Reality Headset. Students were immersed in an undersea virtual environment to experience scuba diving without getting their feet wet.
Many thanks to Ben Saunders from the IT Tech Support Team for setting up the equipment.
