College matters

End of year exams

At Mentone Girls’ Secondary College we place a high value on exams conducted in Years 9 to 11 as these provide essential practise for the final examinations held at the end of Year 12.

Year 10 and 11 exams commence on Wednesday 18 November and run until Thursday 26 November. During the relevant exam period students are only expected to attend when they have an exam.

Year 9 exams will be held on Friday 27 November and Monday 30 November. Regular classes will continue to run for Year 9 students outside of these two exam days.

Students must wear full school summer uniform to their exams.

Year 11 exams scheduled for period 4 will run from 2pm – 3.45pm. Students are expected to attend the entire exam. Individual exam timetables have been published on compass. The compass timetable will indicate the room in which exam will take place. These individual timetables will also reflect any rescheduled exams for those students who have exam clashes or would otherwise have three exams on one day. Once this exam timetable has been published on compass, students should check carefully. If there still exists a clash, or if a student has a medical appointment and needs to reschedule an exam they must collect a form from the relevant subschool and have this approved by their student manager.

All students are expected to attend their scheduled exam. If a student does not attend their relevant exams they and their parents will be contacted and the student must attend the designated exam catch up session. 2021 courses may not be confirmed for students who do not attend their scheduled exams.

We wish all our Year 9, 10 and 11 students the best for their upcoming exams.
