Today we join with the rest of the world to celebrate World Teachers’ Day. For me this is an opportunity to reflect on our profession and celebrate the difference we make to the lives of others.
As Head of Department - Class, I am very privileged to teach with a small but amazing group of extremely dedicated teachers. They consistently work hard to present the curriculum in a way that enables students to achieve success and spend considerable effort incorporating practical sessions, incursions and excursions wherever possible to make learning more meaningful. These things don’t just happen they take time and effort.
I would like to thank the Class teachers at Harvey Ag for always going above and beyond what is required. For constantly helping and encouraging students to do their best and striving to improve their students’ outcomes. Ultimately I thank them for caring and trying to ensure that their students leave the College as well prepared as possible for their futures.
Whilst we know the Class area is not the most favourite part of the College program students, I know that it is recognised as an essential one. It is great to hear students at the College regularly thank teachers as they finish a lesson or special activity. It is very rewarding to know our efforts are appreciated.
Have a great World Teachers’ Day!!
